'Go force yourself': Actor Mark Hamill calls Ivanka Trump a 'fraud' for Star Wars photo - SFGate

Luke Skywalker is standing up to his latest foe, but she's no Sith Lord.

On Saturday, Ivanka Trump took to Twitter to share what she thought might be an adorable family portrait. Sidled up to husband, Jared Kushner, children are seen in the foreground of the photo playing with what appear to be Star Wars-themed Lego play sets. Their three-year-old son is seen fully decked out in a Stormtrooper costume and looks to be having a great time.

"The Force is strong in my family," she wrote with a star emoji.

She probably wasn't expecting the greatest Jedi in the galaxy to strike back. At least, the actor playing him did.

"You misspelled 'Fraud,'" Mark Hamill wrote in response a day later. "#GoForceYourself."

The tweet has since garnered over 500,000 likes and 100,000 retweets. Reactions were polarizing, with some accusing Hamill of wrongfully attacking innocent young Star Wars fans.

"You sure owned those kids, Mark. Good one," one person wrote, sarcastically.

Others sided with the Oakland-born actor, who recently starred as evil doll Chucky in this summer's reboot of "Child's Play."

"Mommy, why does Luke Skywalker hate us? Because we are terrible, terrible people, son," political consultant Adam Parkhomenko replied, imagining the conversation that would follow between Trump family members.

There was one aspect of the photo everyone could agree upon, though.

"Forget the parents... this kid rocks," one person tweeted, zooming in on the boy's humorous gesture and costume, cropping Trump and Kushner out of the photo.

"Agreed," Hamill responded.

Ivanka Trump did not take part in the conversation.

Hamill later doubled down on the Trump family.

President Donald Trump tweeted that if he was impeached and successfully removed from the White House, the result would be a "Civil War like fracture in this Nation from which our Country will never heal," quoting pastor and Fox News contributor Robert Jeffress.

"Speaking of healing, how are your bone spurs doing these days? I'm worried they might prevent you from serving in any 'Civil War-like fracture.' #FracturedFootSoldier," Hamill retorted.

The actor will appear as Luke Skywalker one last time in the highly anticipated Star Wars finale, "The Rise of Skywalker," coming out in December.
