Now that the 4th of July is over the City of Greeley and Weld County need to review the sale and use of fireworks within our city limits and the county.
My personal opinion is to ban the use of and sales of all fireworks within the community. And increase fines for people bringing products from out of state.
The use goes far beyond just the one night. It’s weeks before and after the holiday. I understand that this year was unusual with limited activities, but even without those it needs to stop.
The disruptive noise for neighborhoods, pets, and small children should be taken under consideration — let alone the risk of injury and fire.
