Brooks Laich says wife Julianne Hough helped him to explore his sexuality as he dishes on marriage: 'I don't see any other life for me'
Earlier in the year, Julianne Hough and husband Brooks Laich were rumored to have been facing marital issues.
But the 36-year-old hockey player revealed during Saturday's episode of his How Men Think podcast that he does not 'see any other life' for himself outside their marriage and credits Julianne for helping him explore his sexuality.
'And by [my sexuality], I don't mean if I'm gay or straight. I mean in my sexual relationship [with Hough], what is my sexuality and what am I craving, and what are my desires and what are my wife's,' explained Laich.
Thankful: Brooks Laich revealed in a recent episode of his How Men Think podcast that he credits wife Julianne Hough for prompting him to explore his sexuality after years of repression as a working athlete; the couple were pictured on February 10 at Steven Tyler's Second Annual GRAMMY Awards Viewing Party in Los Angeles
He added: 'Nothing dirty can exist between two people in love.'
Laich, who hosts the podcast with Gavin DeGraw, went on to ponder the complexities of determining one's personal needs, as well as the needs of their partner.
'How can we have this language to feed each other and get everything we want and be sexually expressed to the nth degree in everything?'
Even with rumors swirling about marriage problems brewing between the couple, Laich insisted that he does not 'see any other life' for himself, than a life married to Hough.
'Nothing dirty can exist between two people in love,' said Laich of his sexual experimentation with Hough on the most recent episode of his podcast; Laich pictured at the iHeartRadio Music Festival in September
'When I think of being married and being in my relationship, truthfully at my core, I don’t see any other life for me. Like that’s the life that I choose.'
He learned to 'appreciate being married' by reminding himself of the loneliness that came with being a single man.
'I remember so vividly what it was like to be alone, to be single and feel alone and feel lonely, made me appreciate being married so much more.'
Laich's sexual awakening comes after years of repression due to his commitment to athletic diligence as a hockey player.

'I woke up as an athlete, wanted to train, wanted to eat, sleep, rest, perform,' said Laich. 'Sexuality was way below all of that for the majority of my life…I’ve been exposed to a beautiful new side of life that I’d never explored or thought to explore. It’s amazing.'
Brooks and co-host DeGraw went on to discuss the probability of the hockey player welcoming a threesome experience into him and Hough's relationship.
'I don’t know if I could ever get that. I can’t ever see myself being physical with somebody else. I just don’t think I could get there. I just don’t.'
He continued: 'in this stage of life, I’m looking for a deeper connection and romance.'
