Director Matt Reeves is letting the Batsuit, and Robert Pattinson's incredible jawline, do the talking in the first look of his upcoming "The Batman."
Not a word is spoken in the 56-second video Reeves posted on Twitter Thursday with the caption "Camera Test." Yeah, it works, Matt.
Pattinson emerges in slow motion from a murky red background to composer Michael Giacchino's ominous score in the video. While cinematographer Greig Fraser's camera focuses on the metallic bat insignia on Pattinson's impressive Batsuit chest plate, it eventually moves up to show the actor's more impressive facial profile, obscured by shadows and the mask.
Filming just began on the DC superhero epic last month. It's due in theaters June 25, 2021.
Pattinson, 33, will play a younger hero than the one played by Ben Affleck, 47, in "Justice League." The "Twilight" star told Variety that it was "pretty humiliating" to have someone "squeezing my butt cheeks into the legs" to get into the suit. But its clearly paid off.
The new 'Batman': Everything we know (so far) about the Robert Pattinson movi

The "Planet of the Apes" director Reeves has brought in Andy Serkis as Alfred and Colin Farrell as Oswald Cobblepot (aka The Penguin).
