It is time for all of us as Americans to call the White House and demand an end to this attempted slow motion coup d’etat and activate the process of a smooth transition. Trump may just be involved in the stages of grief or perhaps he is still intent on doing Putin’s work and sullying democratic elections. On the other hand, he has publicly stated when Xi became President for life “President for life, maybe we should try that” or his grievance that since he had to put up with the Mueller investigation that he deserves a third term. No matter what, he needs to go and to go with a shred of dignity for the office since his own has long ago ceased to exist. Light up the White House switchboard: 202-456-1414. Use your voices. Then start calling Kevin McCarthy and Mitch McConnell and their followers.
